My wife and I have fallen in love with Italy and want to spend more and more time there. We would like to creat a business partnership with someone so that we can travel to Italy more often. Can anyone suggest the best way to go about it?
Grazie,
Butch

Like your idea, we are looking for some type of excuse to travel to Italy at least 4 times a year. Maybe a small, hotel, run by a reliable manager, and keep several rooms available, when going back and forth...found one on Craigs List last year, owned by a family, but I could not act fast enough! I'm a realtor in Southern California, have serveral properties to trade for something in Italy, I understand since the Euro is looking great, many Italians are investing in the U.S. Hope to meet some folks on Italia magazine that have some ideas on how we can make all of this happen. Hi, I have been thinking about something similar myself.
What sort of business have you thought about?
What area of Italy were you interested in?
I will speak to you again soon.......

We are always happy to explore ideas for extending and adding to our brand. We have a family run country house in Le Marche already and I have been working in the UK in events. Contact us through our web site www.villasibillini.com if you would like a chat about your ideas.

Just joined the forum and spotted this thread which seems to have stopped a few months ago.
Looking for ways to move to our house in southern Le Marche without having to wait until retirement.
Have you still got an idea on the go?

Hi, Like you I would like to move to Italy but dont want to wait until I retire. I am single and I really would like to start a business with a partner or partners. I would really like to get a firm idea of how I would be making a living before I moved out there. Realistically, I suppose I am thinking 12 - 18 months before I would move. I have a property to sell here to free up some capital and the market is no good now. Do you want to speak to me about any thoughts you have had?

Have you thought to buy a "masseria" (tipical apulian farm) and open a B & B. Puglia is a lovely area and some english people have bought property here and someone lives here.
ciao

Hi,
Unfortunately I haven't got past the "thinking about doing something" stage i.e. nothing at all anywhere near definite. Thought chat in this forum might help me get some ideas.
Cheers
