I would like to improve my Italian which is quite basic and I want to attend a residential course this summer in Italy. I have seen a couple on the Web based in northern Marche. This is the area I am interested in does anyone have any experience of this type of course/holiday?

I know of a great school in Marches that has italian courses in Summer. I am currently learning Italian with them and they are great! They offer a different opportunity for summer courses where you can live in a family or at an agriturismo. Here is the link: www.comunicandoitalia.com

Hope it helps!!

My husband and i live in Italy for 5 months now and we can also recommend the school www.comunicandoitalia.com! Our teacher comes once a week to our house and once a week we go to the school in Jesi (a very nice city!). We like the way of teaching very much, because it's very professional and individual. And....just in front of the school is the best bar/gelateria in town.

Hello Sharon, I also have a house in Italy, in Umbria. It is a hilltop town with around 8,000 inhabitants - we are the only English but there are other nationalities living there. I would love to take the plunge and live there but my husband has work ties in England. My husband is half Italian and speaks fluently - I usually get by! I really would like to spend a few months without him then perhaps I will improve my Italian. Are you able to spend some time there? We could perhaps meet up and learn together? Or do some sightseeing? Write back and share any ideas.

Thanks for answering the questions about language courses in italy ,I live in england and have a tutor once a week and I would LOVE to find a nice school and maybe stay with an approved family. I work fulltime & run my own business so I could only come for a week at a time but I shall look forward to checking out the website you recommend again thanks
