Hello, I've just found this forum and was very surprised to see that there were no messages in the Umbria section. I'm Italian, from Umbria and I'd like to get in touch with other English speaking people interested in this beautiful region and to find out how they feel about it. I've been in the property business for almost 20 years and about 90% of my clients are from England. Hope to hear from you, Adriana

Hello there - I quite agree, Umbria is absolutely beautiful. We have a house in one of the hill top towns, in the historical centre. We have fantastic neighbours and everyone has made us welcome.

Just to remind everyone that there is a fantastic infiorata in Spello, Umbria on 24/25th May 2008. The work gets started in the evening of the 24th...goes on through the night and culminates with a procession around 11am on the Sunday morning. Best time to come to take photos is Sunday morning - VERY EARLY, before the crowds arrive. Don't miss it!

Very good to see some movement in this forum at last... Yes, the Infiorata is a wonderful event, I was up all night a couple of years ago helping some people get the flowers ready.

I have been closely involved with Umbria for over 20 years and have a house towards the border with Siena province. It makes me laugh when I hear comments like ' Umbria is up and coming'. It was doing that long, long ago!

Looking for a super deal in Tuscany or Umbria.....are prices coming down, similar to the U.S. Real Estate market? Need an excuse to visit Italy 4 times a year....what areas should I be looking in?

Prices have definitely come down and when they haven't officially, the owners are much more willing to negotiate. You can contact me if you like on mailto:info@umbrianproperty.com">info@umbrianproperty.com and I can suggest a few good deals! Or visit www.umbrianproperty.com
