Hi, I have a property in Italy and I would dearly love to move out there. As I am a single female I feel this would be a big step to take on my own. Are there any Brits or English speaking people living in the northern parts of Le Marche around Pesaro/Fano and surrounds?
I would love to hear from other people who took the plunge. Did you have a job to go to? what work are you in now? Are you still there? Do you regret moving? Did you find it hard to meet new Italian friends?
Would I be better off in a small town/village, at present I have an apartment near the sea in Metaurilia a small community.

Hello Sharon, I also have a house in Italy, in Umbria. It is a hilltop town with around 8,000 inhabitants - we are the only English but there are other nationalities living there. I would love to take the plunge and live there but my husband has work ties in England. My husband is half Italian and speaks fluently - I usually get by! I really would like to spend a few months without him then perhaps I will improve my Italian. Are you able to spend some time there? We could perhaps meet up and learn together? Or do some sightseeing? Write back and share any ideas.
