We have had many holidays to Pesaro over the years, we love this town. We like to visit places around the area which we can go to on the bus or by train. We are hoping to go again this year, and we are looking out for a bargain holiday! Has anyone seen any holidays to Pesaro or near-by please?

If you are interested in renting an apartment near Fano and 5 minutes from the beach, please let me know and I will let you have some more information. (This is my own apartment).

hello Sharongordon.... We have never hired a car in Italy, and my husband has always been a little apprehensive.. Which airport do you use, when you are going to your apartment in Fano? We have visited Fano, it seemed a very quiet town. Can I ask you, how did you choose Fano to buy your property in Italy?

I have hired a car and driven without problems so far - touch wood!! I usually fly to Ancona or Rimini airports as they are about equidistant from the apartment. My apartment is outside of Fano in a place called Metaurilia. Yes, it is quiet there but with a car you are never more than a few minutes from a beach or a restaurant and in the summer you are spoilt for choice!! If you like something livlier there is Fano port area in the summer evenings and there is a nice bar/restaurant right on the beach about 15 minutes drive away on the outskirts of Fano. Urbino is a short distance on the bus or in the car. Gradara Castle is near too. I think it is a good area for accessibility and closeness to the sea, yet quiet if you like that but easy access to something livelier - everything I need in fact!! Oh, and now Ryanair has opened a new route from Birmingham to Bologna which really suits me too. Are you thinking about buying in Italy or content to rent?
