I would like to share with your readers my favourite place in Italy - Positano. It is the most stunning, beautiful place on the Amalfi coast...in my opinion. Go and discover it for yourself.

Hi Positano Jo, did you not find Positano packed with tourists ? Do you know of some hidden and quiet areas you can share ? What time of year would you recommend going ?

I agree that Positano is magical, and I have to extend that adjective to the whole Amalfi Coast. In my experience, it's best to go off season, Spring or Fall. In the summer it's way too crowded for my taste. There are some restaurants and beaches on the Amalfi Coast that are only accessible by boat. It's great fun to take a sailboat for a few hours or more and float peacefully among these spots.
