Yes, but unfortunately you have just missed it! We had the first Property Show in Bologna last weekend, featuring all aspects, and houses for sale all over Italy. There were local estate agents specialising in stone houses, turnkey properties in medieval hamlets and seaside apartments. But the organisers of the Show seem to have forgotten to publicise the event! Contact us if you would like more information on this Show..
Thank you for your rapid response. What a shame that we have just missed the Bologna show. Interestingly, Bologna is one of the places we are considering. Also glad to see that Bologna is putting on this sort of show. We have always felt that Bologna was slow to project itself, despite its fascinating history, its superb cuisine and architecture and its undiscovered surrounding areas. So, this is a welcome development ! When is the next show ? Can you give us any further advice ?
Yes, we feel that Bologna has been a little left out by tourists and visitors. And when people do visit the city for the first time, they are usually amazed that the city is so beautiful. Anyway, the next property show is actually taking place in Florence: 3rd-6th April: see www.saloneimmobiliare.it
There is a fair in Milan I will check the dates I think it is in April Fiera dell'immobiliare might be of interest but it is mainly for those who work in real estate nonetheless worht looking at don't forget to check local agencies at times they have gems that the Italian market doesn't even take into consideration
Today's Orange County Register reports that the elections in Italy and the voting for the two major parties, is a reflection about how voters are looking at a downturn in Italy's economy. Less tourists, equal lower revenues for business etc. Since homes in the U.S. are back to 2004 levels and inflation is taking a big hit....curious about property values in Italy from North to South. We will be traveling to Amalfi coast then moving up to San Remo area by way of Arezzo...looking for Villa or Seafront homes or condos under $400,000. Maybe, partnering up w/American property owners in Italy, looking at selling share of their Villa or home in Northern or Middle areas of Italia! mailto:BestBeachBuys@aol.com">BestBeachBuys@aol.com or www.MikeColonna.com
Hi Mike Not sure about the mainland, in Sardinia the prices are still rising, in Alghero over the last year we've had an increase of 6.3% (according to Tecnocasa) It will be very interesting to see what happens next after the elections, if the prices can be sustained. Wish you best of luck for your search. Sally
Hi everyone,
We are from Vancouver, Canada and looking to buy property in northern Italy (lakes or Liguria coast). I would like to know if there is any property shows/exibhitions featuring all aspects, and houses for sale all over Italy scheduled sometimes for for September or October this year?
Hi paulkral Welcome to the forum! Are you looking for property shows in Canada?
Italia Magazine's latest issue focusing on homes in the lower range of affordability caught my attention. Dear publishers....please include more detailed maps. Coastal areas were mentioned but never pinpointed, luv to read your takes on each region....we'll be traveling to Positano and driving up to San Remo later this year, ....my goal is to find a townhome or house near or on the western coast of IT. Carla at IPN Castello, Arezzo area, does a great job of updating listings...any coastal realtors are welcomed to E-Mail me their mailto:sites....BestBeachBuys@aol.com">sites....BestBeachBuys@aol.com MikeColonna
