Has anyone been to il Brillo Parlante? Can't remember the street it's on - it's tucked away down a little alley in the north of the city and does amazingly good food at reasonable prices. It was the only really, really good place I found to eat at last time I was in the city.

I recommend you try La Fornace, 75 Via Angelo Emo, Roma Tel 0639740796 - it's near Cipro station. It's run by an ex Roma player and the atmosphere is excellent. The food (especially the pizzas) is wonderful. You need to book at the weekends (best atmosphere).

That sounds like a fantastic place. Thanks! I've made a note in my guidebook to pop along when I am next over there. It's so good to get personal recommendations - better than any guide, I think! My problem is that I tend to forget the names of even the good places I've been to. I have resolved to try and be more disciplined in making notes of good places while I am away!
