In my experience there are events that happen in Italy that never seem to be advertised to the outside world. The Lucca summer music festival for example with great bands, or Bocelli doing a concert in some piazza. It would be great to be able to view a list for different regions to see whats on and plan trips around it.

I would be very interested to hear more about these unadvertised events. Many of the other publicized happenings, although very fun and worthwhile, are extremely crowded with tourists (which I am) and end up being kind of the same.

I guess you just need to get off the tourist routes and ask the locals what's happening in the area

There is a huge music festival in Marche as well over the weekend on 12/12/13 July with some 4000 visitors.

Whereabouts in Le Marche is this festival, Ascoli perhaps?

What sort of music is this?
